what th400 do i need?

what th400 do i need? i just swapped my m6 pedal assembly to auto, and plan to put a th400 in. i was wondering which one i need. the long or short tail. it does it depend on what driveshaft?

its texas-speeds standard 370 that comes with mahle -4cc flattops. im just slowly building the motor and putting the car together. i just got my cusom cam from texasspeed the other day. whats done to yours, and how does it run?
