TP4500, Shift Extension, and Shift Points....
I have a purely bolton car running TP4500 and 3.23 gears... First gear is a pure animal... Shift points are set to 6300 via LS1 edit but it looks like it actually shifts almost around 6500 or so according to the tach.. Well my RPMs fall to about 6 grand and climb again with the shift extension of this converter, making it feel like its not pulling as hard as it did when I had my ST3500 which didnt have near as much shift extension. Basically I kinda feel like Im overthrowing my powerband...
My question is.. Should I lower my shiftpoints some to try and make the shift extension lower on the converter to gain more power.. 1st gear is strong as hell, but if feels like it falls on its face some after that... Also the highway roll power doesnt feel as strong as my ST3500. Maybe this is possibly due to the same reasons...
All help is appreciated.. Maybe Im not understanding something fully....
