elec. shifter solenoid???
elec. shifter solenoid??? can an electric shifter solenoind be used to make both 1-2 and 2-3 shifts on a th-400 w/ rmvb? or only a foward v.b.? either way would be using a hurst quarter stick? if the quarter stick is a ratchet type i'd think so. but i just want to make sure. any one using this set up? thanks

The one company I have found that has a very broad selection of automatic electronically controlled shifters is Dedenbear, and those are for serious bracket racers. The most popular are the Co2 models. They list one RVMB Co2 shifter for 3 speeds. And it is only for a Cheetah SCS shifter. Their PN is AS1.
You might consider their stand alone Universal Solenoid Shifter... PN SS2. If you require a kit try the Model # SS2ST1... Includes solenoid, bracket and shift timer.
The problem I see is getting the solenoid mounted in frt of the shifter handle. The issue would be the Reverse lock out lever. I have not ever seen an auto shifting device used with a Hurst 1/4 Stick in a RVMB application. But hey, what do I know?
Did you call Hurst? They are decent guys I had one of their techs on the phone yesterday about a cover for an old school 1/4 stick.
