Default trans leaking after instal!

I just got my tranny put in yesterday and now i have a bad leak out of the plastic connector on the trans, where the round electric connector plugs into. It will rotate about 1/2 turn and will almost drop into the trans now. What can i do to fix it?? Please give me some good news. I dont want to pull it again!!! Thanks

I would contact your builder to tell him what is going on. It sounds like they reused the internal wiring harness and the pass through connector is broken. We always replace these when we do a rebuilt. It eliminates come backs and dreaded calls with complaints such as yours. This IMO is unacceptable for a rebuilt transmission. I do have BOXES of these harnesses laying around that are good used pieces due to the fact we use OEM new ones. If your builder is not willing to help you out give me a call.

ok great thanks!! Im guessing the tabs are broken off?? because i can pull the plug up and it doesnt leak nearly as bad, but with it pulled up or pushed down, it will spin. I'm guessing it should only move straight up or down if the tabs are good?? Could this cause any damage?? i drove it about thirty miles with it possibly broke. thanks again

I would make sure that it is full of oil. As far as it causing damage I guess anything is possible. Get it fixed asap and avoid any issues that might happen. Where did you have this rebuilt? Just curious PM me if you do not want to post it. Vince
