Default TH350. To 2.75 or not to 2.75?

considering the 2.75 first gear for my new TH350. should i or shouldn't i? any opinions? this is for a drag only car.

Weight, traction, rearend gearing, and power? (Been there, done that, btw.)

new combo will be ~3450 w/ driver, 4.30 gears, 28" slicks, ~430rwhp.

was getting high 1.6's on the old combo, but i blame that to a bad suspension setup and a dying clutch. any input appreciated, thanks.
