linkage problem i think

Default linkage problem i think

can someone please explain to me how to check my linkage to try and fix the reverse in my c5

if this is on an ls style 4l60e, then normally the linkage doesnt screw up. there is only one position to hook it on with the way they are setup. jack it up and look at the part of the tranny it hooks on. it has a kind of a square cut. when i put my tranny on i had to use an open end wrench to shift it till the linkage hooked on.

ok well what hapen was i had a new motor put in it and when i got my car back sudenly i have no reverse it goes down and i basically have 2 neutrals and the rest of the gears are fine but wer reverse is it acts just like neutral

I would tend to lean towards you having a coincidental failure. As was said theres not to much that can go wrong with the linkage and nothing that can go wrong that could cause the symptom you describe. Its and internal trans probelm I would say
