Default 4L60E Year Model Difference

Hey guys I was wondering what the difference was on the LT1 4L60E's compared to the 98&^ ls1 4l60e's.

And will an older model tranny work in my 01 Ls1 car

98 up ls1 based will work as a bolt in however the earlier units would require speciality converter and other mods depending on the year and style used you are better to stay with the type that comes in your car.
