weird noise from tranny?
weird noise from tranny? i have a 3600 stall ..
well all of a sudden this morning when i was driving at about 35 mph ..i just rhomped on the gas a lil to break the stall loose and throw a rev..
well i then heard a sound that sounded like the stall or something in my transmission was spinning really rough (scraping sound)..like messed up bearings or something..
now everytime i rev it in gear it makes this sound and feels weird...
and it made it a couple of times when i put it into gear ??

It could have broken the sprag in the converter, or some fins. But to say that without hearing it really is only pointing out some parts in a converter that can fail and be noisey.
Does it make the same noise in neutral as it does in gear?
If you try to brake torque it moderately is it more pronounced?
Little more detail would help if you could offer it.
