Default 4000 stall question

Will a 4000 stall reduce the overall life of the engine/trans? My car is only street driven and the rpms never seem to drop below 2k.

Thanks

I have never seen a TC being the ultimate result of shortening the life of an engine/trans. If it is only daily/street driven I would lower to a 3200-3600 stall.

I have been running high stall torque converters for 7 years and I am still using my original 4L60E Transmission (111K Miles). I have used 3000, 3600 and 4000 stall TC's and the heat control is key. Make sure you install a big transmission cooler.
