High Stall Converter Question???
I made a thread awhile back about my transmission having some problems, but ive yet to take it in to get serviced. I did what was suggested, and checked the fluid fill level & transmission oil. The oil is good, still has the redish color and it meet's the amount necessary.
I talked to my father about this and he thought it could be the converter, when i told him what the car was doing. So just to refresh your memory incase you didnt read the last thread......
The car seem's to not shift correctly, or get full power. There's time when im just driving normally, not giving it the gas very hard. Basically just taking off and getting up to 55 mph, sometimes it's just going right. Then out of nowhere, you feel the power kick in. It does it alot more when you decide to punch it, or give it the gas pretty well on the highway.
So could this problem be my converter, or the transmission itself???? I know i have to take the car in, but would like to see some opinions on this.
