Default Weird things with a 4l60e..

Ok, I went out in my car tonight and got on it from a roll in 1. When the car shifted into 2 if felt like it slipped when in went into gear about half a second, went into 3 fine. That was the first time it ever done it. I have also been hearing some sounds like its coming from the transmission when i go from neutral to overdrive. Does it sound like there may be something going on with it??

Thanks for the help,
Ryan

Oh, I meant to add that the sound is just a quick "thud" that I hear. Sorry!

I just opened the car up once.. But it was the first time that it had ever done it before. I would say the sound that the car makes only happens half the time, maybe even a little less. The reason I am so worried is i have got 1200 saved for a ss3600 and a ms4 combination, I dont want to get them and have them installed and then immediately have to turn around and have to put another 2000 in the transmission. What about a tranny fluid change?? Could that maybe help solve some problems?
