I recently took Ed Wright's programming off of my PCM and started over from stock with LS1edit. I have H/C with a vig2800 and built 4L60E with HD tranny cooler.

On the highway, the converter seems reluctant to lock-up. It will also randomly unlock after driving for a while on the freeway. It has recently gotten allot cooler here in Phoenix, and I'm thinking it has something to do with the tranny temp switch, or settings on the computer. IOW, my thought is that the tranny cooler is working too well, and making the computer think that the tranny is colder than the stock "operating temp". Am I way off here? Is there anything else I should look at?

Additionally, what other tranny settings should I alter in LS1edit? I have a shift kit, so I won't be altering the shift firmness. Also keep in mind that I'd like it to perform, but I'd rather not have to rebuild my tranny every year. Thanks for your input.

agreed. mine did the same as that untill i got the programing. no biggie. get programing and the convertor will act nice again! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

 

Mine does it too, but no H/C here. All stock internals with mods. in sig. Worked good at first after install of T/C but after gears NOS kit and NGKTR6 and about a years time now it unlocks at random.
