Default Stall with heads and cam

I know this guy who told me not to install my stall when I do my heads and cam swap because he said it will run like **** afterwards and my shift points will be all f***ed up. Is this true? I told him, "How the hell am I gonna drive it to the tuners than?"

Depending on the the H/C, it's apt to run like crap until you get it tuned anyway. Depending on the size stall, your car may have to be tuned for that too. So, I would do the stall swap prior to taking it to the tuner.

Your set up is almost similar to what i will have minus the heads. I have the mods in my signature plus I will be installing an LS6 intake, LS6 heads, TSP Tv2 cam and 3400 stall.
What was your RWHP and 1/4 mile time if you dont mind me asking?
