I had my SS3800 installed last week. I've put 100 miles on it and have no issues. Also installed trans cooler and have used my Predator to increase shift firmness and decrease shift time.

The street manners are excellent. I was a little worried abot how it would drive, but it is has surpassed all my expectations. I'm glad I went with a high stall to start out. Many people get a lower stall and then wish they would have got more. With my 3800 I'm confident that this is all I want and need for a basic bolt on car.

I went with the SS3600 for my daily driver. Still wating on delivery. How long did it take for you other yanks to get yours?

Also, is there an identifier on the converter so I know I got the right one?

I have a Yank SY4000 with a 1.86 STR on its way! What do you guys think of that converter compared to the SS series?

I have the Vig. 3600 #7 and it's got better than expected street manners for a converter that flashes at 4,200 rpm. But I like what I've seen with the Vig. 3200. Since I switched to a more milder setup I might get my stall reduced. Plus the smaller stall will play nice with NOS or a ATI setup in the spring My tranny is gonna love me next year...hehe. NOT!!!
But I would like to see how the car does with the smaller converter. PLus the Vig. 3200 should feel tighter at light throttle and should give pretty nice top end effeciencey. What do yo all think?

With nittos, it should hook up pretty good on the street. The SS converters will give better 60 foot times at the track with a good tire. What gears do you have?
