Default Problem on highway--transmission overheating?

Hi guys, I did a ton of searches, and I can't seem to find any thread on this. My 2002 stock ws6 is doing this weird lurching/stalling thing when I get around 60-70 mph on the highway, its usually after about 1/2 an hour down the road, it will only do it once or twice, just kind of jumps and goes back to normal. Does this sound like a transmission problem, it has almost 50,000 miles. I'm pretty sure it had a transmission flush at 30,000. Any ideas?

Sounds like the converter may be locking and unlocking , Possibley due to engine missfire.
