Default Flexplate Opinions

I am having a built trans and 3200 stall put in next week, my car is street driven only. I was wondering if I should upgrade the flexplate or not. A 226 cam will be added soon. Several shops said that I should be fine with the stock flexplate, I am just looking for additional input. Thanks for any help.

It's good for now BUT you have to ask yourself how far you're going to go with this car.... I usually like to overbuild my stuff because I don't have to worry about it.. The TCI can be had for $200 or even cheaper if you find a deal/buy off an individual... It's up to you but I just don't like to do things twice you know...

How often you going to the track?? If often then yes I would go with an SFI approved for sure..
