Default Anyone through bolts for the converter/flexplate?

Putting my junk back together and went to thread the bolts into the converter to tighten it up against the flexplate and there are no threads in the converter. There is indication of paint being rubbed off where it looks like they used a nut and washer on the other side of the converter.

Anybody ever have to do this? I figured I was just gonna get a Grade 8 7/16 bolt and use washers, nuts, and lock washers with some loctite.

I'd say grade 8 is fine, just put the biggest bolt possible in there, fine thread, and use a lock nut with a washer and some loctite.

You'll be fine. Thats how my converter bolts to my flexplate on my GEN I small block. If anything see if TC bolts from a GEN I engine are long enough and will fit the hole.
