Default heat off trans

been getting alot of heat coming from the upper right of the floorboard by the pedals fear its comin off the trans. Keep an eye on the fluid and barely dirty at all, always full. This cant be normal is it? Or should i start saving? Feels fine so far.

I would doubt very seriously your transmission is the source of this heat. If the tranmsission was getting hot enough to transfer heat into the floorboard to the point it was noticeable, then I would think it would be literally cooking itself and it would be symptomatic.

I would inspect the exhaust flow very carefully.

Not if its running through the radiator only, For instance you have a 195 degree thermostate in city traffic on a hot day I have seen many stock cars run in the 200 to 220 range and 200 degree water cannot cool the trans to 175. Now agreed the lower temp would be much better and should be worked to acheive but The trans is not going to die suddenly at 200 or even 230 Heat while not good is a longer term killer resulting in baking of the fliud and eventual hardening of the seals and other damage from poor lubrication , But short term spikes to 200/230 is not going to kill a trans in any big hurry. Transmission fliud at least dexron begins to break down and cause varnish at around 240 degrees. But Ideally I like to see it in the 140 to 180 range as and average temp. As for the OP I agree its not likley heat coming from the trans as it would have to get really really hot to feel it in the car. Exhaust is a good possibility or even and opening in the floor board allowing hot air to enter in some way , Missing gromet or guide for wires or cables.
