could someone please give me a brief description of this? i just found out about it in one of the stickies above, but it lead me to wonder if deleting this could prevent my car from hitting the rev limiter during the 2-3 shift. thanks.

 

Basically the timing is retarded during the shift to decrease the torque being transfered through the drivetrain for a short moment. Removing it would not likle prevent but actually might make this worse on a no 2-3 at WOT have you checked to seeif its being comanded at the correct time and are you allowin enough time betwen command and actual shift in the tuning ?

 

i need to get all that stuff checked, but the guy who tuned the computer lives an hour away and is hard to get a hold of because he is always working. i guess i need to find a place that is closer, but some people tell me they can't work on my car because the port for the computer is OBD2, but the actual computer is OBD1 and they say they can't tap into to check those things. the guy that created the program has all that stuff on his lap-top.
