Default YANK Converter from 01 work on 99?

I sold my yank ss 4000 to a freind with an 99 z28. He also had the trans built by a non-sponsor. He is seeing 0 output shaft speed and the car wont move. He told me that the builder told him that the coverter cold be different from an 01-02 car.

Is that true or should he look at something else.

The coverter was a known good part in perfect condition.

All the same 98-02!

Sounds like a trans issue!

the front pump was probably damaged during the install. a simple test will show if this is the problem. unhook the front tranny lines from the radiator and start the car. if fluid sprays out of the lines then the pumps fine but if not then the pump is damaged. this will cause no output shaft movement and make the car seem like it wint engage into gear.
