Any advice?
I just replaced my stall converter from a 2500 to a 4000 in a th400 and ALL my tempatures are reading a lot higher! My engine runs a lot hotter also! I know that this is reguarding my trans but it's effecting my engine also. My engine runs upper of 240 - red line on a cooler day - 70-80 degrees. The trans also runs 210-240 a lot also. My question is:
Is all this just because of a higher stall? I'm almost wanting to go back with a smaller stall if it will keep the heat down! (also i had the trans rebuilt when i pulled it out with the tci red clutches; reverse manual v/b w/tb.) I had busted the casing!
