My car would throw it sparadically when I had my 3500 stall, Mostly driving up hill at slow speeds, it would rev pretty high then the light would come on. My tuner took care of it and I never saw it again.
You're gas mileage is gonna suck bad not having lockup, that's for sure.
wait, the 1870 code puts the tranny into limp mode? 2500 rpm at 80 isnt TOO bad, I guess. It could be worse thoughOriginally Posted by DannoWS6
Sucks man. You can remove the code and it won't trigger the light anymore. It's puts the tranny in limp mode and really F's it up.My car would throw it sparadically when I had my 3500 stall, Mostly driving up hill at slow speeds, it would rev pretty high then the light would come on. It did for me, car would not down shift, stayed in 3 I beleive. Typically shutting the car off for a minute would temporarily clear it.Originally Posted by PhantomR/T

i bought the bigget one available at the place where I bought my trans stuff. Maybe I should run a temp guage for it too? I dont know where I could mount another cooler up
I would get a guage but if you got the largest you should be ok,
