Default 1st gear gone?

ok i just installed headers and a 3600 yank and when i stop at a red light the car wont move till 3400 and then it wants to fly. but its very slow moving till about 20mph then its a diff story. when its cold it shifts but hot it wants to lay. i had the stall in for about 4 months and haven't had this problem till the headers went in, so could it be in need for a tune?

First I would scan for codes and I would inspect the area around the headers for burnt or broken wires
