to get the most out of your cam, you'll want to have your trans. shift beyond your cam's peak. I've heard as early as 300rpm past and some as far as 1K. I had mine set at 300rpm past peak.. made a huge difference! It was shifting approx. at the peak or 100 before. On the dyno sheet I have, my cam holds it's peak power from 6100 till the tuner backed off @ 6800.

Allways take into count the time from comand to actual shift . Where the PCM operates at the speed of light the trans does not so for instance if you want a shift at 6000 you may need to comand at 5500. Its actually a bit more complicated than just that since MPH plays a big role and other variables too. But I am not a tuner just information I have picked up over time.
