th400 with 4500 stall
I cant say how it will sound but with that stall and no lockup I dont think it will be a very efficent or comfortable DD should be fast though just wouldnt wanna pay for the gas lol

a 4500 stall torque converter is going to be overkill. I know lot's of trailer cars that don't have that much converter, let alone a DD with a 3speed transmission. Poor decision in my opinion.
Get it down to at least 3500rpm, even that will kill your mileage... especially since you are coming out of a 6 speed.

I had the same set up. Gas mileage sucks but it pulls like a **** from a stand still. My converter flashed about 4500 on slicks at the track. snatched the front wheel about 6" with bolt ons and exhaust only. I switched back to 6-speed to make it more driveable though.
You won't daily drive it long with a TH400 and 4.10s with a 4500 stall.
Mine has a 4000 stall and although I could drive it every day I can't afford the gas or the frustration. I love taking it out on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon though.........lots of fun.
As for sound........it will sound like a giant vaccuum cleaner sucking all the money out of your wallet.
