Default 4l60e drive and overdrive revving out

ive owned my 99 camaro for about 2 months and it was shifting fine as far as i knew but then i got on the autobahn and stomped it to try to pass a car and hit fuel cut....the fluid is a little burnt but the level was fine.....any ideas on what it could be?

you need a new transmission.. next 2nd will start slipping and so on till it wont move.

thanks man thats what i figured but i had a guy tell me that maybe it could be the servo or some stuff like that but thanks

same as what ssmoked 00 said. My overdrive and drive were slipping, now wont do anything in those gears, and 2nd is slipping....now i'm saving to rebuild it. The car is sitting in my garage

It sounds like excessive band clearance. Sorry to hear about your troubles. If the fluid smells bad, pungeant odor and is discolored then it is apparent that there is internal damage and it would need to be removed for reconditioning. I do not think simply repairing/replacing the servo is gonna be much help here.

I would guess the 3-4 clutch is likley whats actually slipping but in any case gonna need a trans soon ,
