Vigilante's with multi-disk internals

The single disk lockup clutch will operate very much like your factory lockup clutch. The multi-disk clutches are for the dragracer that wants to lockup their converter clutch at WOT, something that the factory clutch was not designed to do. Locking the clutch at WOT is typically worth some ET and mph. Some cars pick up as much as 1.5 to 2 tenths and 2-3 mph.
Take Care,
Kevin
When I`m racing my buddies in their Lightnings on our way to the beach towing Waverunners the converter slips too much with the added weight.. so I wanna lock it up and the 3 disk just gives me peace of mind i guess. Call me crazy : 100+MPH towing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I hear it`s a heavier converter.. not sure by how much.. it seems to be a bit "tighter" that the single disk. Not sure if I`d go that route again.. single disk was a better daily driver but the last time, and only time, I locked it up at the track it went BOOM and took out my trans.
Coincidence..?? I dunno.
