91 700R4 tailshaft on a 4l60E

I broke my tailshaft and my friend has a transmission laying around that came out of his 91 GTA. Will his tailshaft fit correctly. Basically wondering if it will be the right length for the drive shaft.

yours will be different,yours will have6 bolts holding it onto the back of the trans,his will have 4.

I bet you have steel driveshaft.
