Will a 4L60E shift at a slightly higher rpm if transmission is still cold?
Speaking of a WOT shift by the way...
Is this normal or no?

The car was recently re-tuned for the camshaft and 3600 stall converter.
but...
It shifted fine (and on time) several times on the dyno doing 1/4 mile runs, and it shifts fine now (on the street) once tranny temp is up. It just hit the rev limiter today, but the car was definitely NOT warmed up as much as it should have been...

Its my understanding that there are separate tables for cold , warm and hot operation, I have noted sevral 4l60e cars doing this but never noted it to cause and issue, Im sure it could be corrected in tuning though.

I know my truck (also with a 4L60E) seems to shift differently when cold as well. I guess I could drive my car like I had some sense until it warms up too...lol.
Like I said there are different settings fo different operating temps I would imagine the cold shifts are set a little higher to avoid lunging/ lugging when the engine is still cold and not at operating temperature
