Default 4l80e questions

Anyone running an older version of the 4l80e (93 to 96 version) with the factory computer?

I know it can be done, but I'm wondering if you can only use the new 4l80e's 97 and up?

I'm sorry that I'm not clear on your question - are you wanting to know if you can use a late model transmission with an early computer?

I know my 99 factory computer will run a 4l80e.

Now there are atleast 2 versions of the 4l80e.

Pre 97(no 12 o'clock bolt) and post 97(with 12 o'**** bolt).

Will the computer run either of them?
