Default transmission whine?

well its a long story but lately I notice that I hear a whine noise that moves with the rpm only low rpm it sounds like the AC bearing but its not.
does anybody knows what the tranny pump sounds like ?

Just a thought but could it be your Diff? Perhaps your backlash needs to be reset.

Can you locate the area of the noise? Obviously you are asking about the pump, but have you removed the engine accessory belt and ran it listening for the noise again? That is the best place to start trying to identify a noise like you described.

A transmission pump can whine, but usually that is a sign of other issues, stuck pressure regulator valve which would give symptoms like harsh shifts.

You mentioned that there is a story behind the noise.. can you elaborate. It might make it easier for us to help you out.

Had/have similar problem. Sound went away and I'm having bigger issues but I will get into that in my own thread. I'll see where this goes.

Default powersteering

I had the same whine on mine, it happened when I turned the wheel a lot at first, all I had to do was put in power steering fluid cuz it was low, hope that helps...if the issue still ongoing
