Transmission Mounts
I said the same thing when I put mine on and the vibration didn't bother me but I had a vibration that wasn't (and still isn't) there with the stocker and I exploded the tailshaft housing. Granted it was over 100 mph but these things will do that in the 1/4 stock.

Nothing is worth being more uncomfortable and risking the loss of a transmission. Especially when its not even a power adder. No thanks
I want to run solid motor mounts b/c of my turbo downpipe, what would you reccommend with these? I thought the solid motor mounts with the polly trans was a great combo but this thread is believing me otherwise. Should I use a stock rubber one with solid motor mounts or ES one for the trans
Whew! I just ordered the Prothane combo (engine and tranny mounts)
from Summit (along with other items). Someone suggested installing
motor mounts during the install of my headers, which is a good idea
considering I have 150k+ miles. Now I have serious doubts about
installing the Prothane polys. I guess it's back to Summit and get
some rubber to exchange the polys. Seeing as I have a new FLT
tranny waiting to go in, I'd hate to break it on account of the polys.

i have the prothane motor mounts and i am really glad i put those in. my prothane tranny mount isn't that bad. however, there is more vibration than with a rubber mount. i am going back to a rubber mount just so it is more enjoyable when cruising.
I can't believe no one else saw this... He's absolutely right. I've ran mine up to 150+ with no vibrations. I've had this Energy Suspension mount for the past three forevers and I have absolutely no problems with it...
i am pretty sure it is the same part. when i just ordered a new mount for my auto i found the part number on this site and then when i went to gmpartsdirect the number that i was given showed up to be for a manual. i have been told before on here that they are the same part so i am almost 100% sure that it is the same thing.

although i do like doing things correctly and not an amateur tech, these last couple responses make it seem like the majority is doing something wrong
obviously i do not want to break my tailhousing, but i do feel the shifter moves alot when on hard throttle which makes me beleive that something is loose down there, whether its a TA mount or a trans mount something is not right
maybe comparing the amount of people that have aftermarket tunnel/SF connector mounted Torque arms vs. the stock Torque arms with vibration problems would be a help, because the aftermarkets are adjustable pinion angle maybe that makes the diff

Same thing happened to me. It vibrated a bit but nothing major (I thought). Well I raced a new Mustang on the highway one day and at around 120 BOOM!!! the whole housing came apart, dumped fluid all over the exhaust, smoke was comin in thru the vents, I thought I was on fire!! So when I got out to see what the hell happened I looked under the car, trans fluid was pissin out.
Well, $150 flatbed ride, $215 (I think, I managed to get a discount) later I put the stocker back in and no more vibration.

Anyways, Hey Formula413. how did the trans feel after the mount change? i gotta change mine out i think (havnt gotten under there yet).
The only change was there was no giant BANG!!! every time I got on it.
I used a stock replacement so it didn't feel any different. No complaints. Lifetime warranty, so I never have to buy another one.
