Default Lost 3rd and 4th gear after filter change

I have a 99 TA with about 95000 miles and I just changed the tranny filter and fluid and now I don't have third or fourth gear. I have heard that a lot of times changing the filter will worsen or bring out problems. Is it time for a new transmission or is there something I can do to salvage mine? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Any codes or check engine lights? How did your trans work before you did the service?

No codes or check engine lights. It seemed to slip every once in a while before the change, but never did it actually not go into a gear like now. It will shift from first to second fine, and then when it shifts to third, it just revs like it is in neutral.

You have a 3-4 clutch failure I would say you are gonna be rebuilding or replacing the trans

Are you sure that it is full of trans fluid? Sounds like something was not done properly when you did the service or you damaged something when you had the pan down. If it is full of fluid I would drop the pan and go over your steps again. Vince

It's full of fluid, and I was very carefull when changing the filter, I can't imagine anything could have been damaged.
