Default Convertor Locup trouble again, please help!!!

Ok, I finally got the convertor to lockup under normal driving but we tried to dyno it the other day and when the lockup switch is flipped we felt the convertor lock and then it would unlock as soon as he got on it for the run. Any ideas? I have deleted the misfire codes and changed the misfire temp range. It is set to lockup at 45 under normal driving, and i know it is suppose to unlock under full throttle but I need a good dyno run to go off of and havn't been able to get it yet, I know the 2-3 shft is banging the rev so I am assuming its almost time for another tranny. But could there be something in the tranny that is causing this unlocking problem?

Who's the manufacture of the converter?
Sounds like a bad LU clutch...

TTECH30TH,
It sounds like your converter clutch is slipping. How much HP and Torque do you have? The 10" clutch that comes standard in the Competition converter does a great job, but if you're gonna lock it at WOT with a high hp engine, you may want to upgrade to the optional 12" diameter clutch. Does your tranny have many miles on it? There are a couple of bores in the valvebody that wear rather quickly and can reduce the TCC pressure.
There is a way to repair the valvebody. Give me a call if you're interested in the valvebody upgrade and/or the TCC upgrade.
Take Care,
Kevin

Well I am taking to the shop that did my heads and cam package and they have a guy waiting to do a beef up job on the tranny, some aftermarket clutches and bands. Will he check the valve body when he is doing this cause it seems to have gotten worse since the dyno, now when it goes to lock there is a pretty hard thump and some serious vibration for a few seconds after lockup. Let me know if you think of anything else, thanks for the help. I know there is no way I have too much hp or tq for the convertor, we guestimate around 405, maybe a little more or a little less.
