Default Question on installing a 3500 Stall Torque Converter on a A4

Hey gang. I have a 99 nearly stock LS1 T/A. I'll be putting in a 3500 stall PCI converter along with a Trans Go Shift kit, Drive shaft loop and B & M (believe that's it) Tranny cooler here really soon.

Is there anything else I need to look into getting for this setup to work? I've heard about the computer thinking the converter is slipping with such a higher stall but wouldn't the shift kit resolve that issue?

Thanks

Only the newer cars have problems with higher stalls, you will be fine.

I would sell the trans go shift kit and do somekind of programmer so you can play with the shiftpoints and raise the stock rev limiter.

I would do the shift kit if you want the higher line pressure AND get Edit to adjust shift points, lock-up, engine tuning, etc.

cant you just get a programmer to adjust shift points, lockup, AND increase the shift firmness instead of buying the editor AND having to buy a shift kit also?

yes you can electronically boost line pressure, but a properly installed shift kit is the better way to achieve that goal, especially if you want a significant increase in shift firmness. For just a tad increase, doing it electronically is fine.
