02 silverado trans 4l60e

My 02 silverado 4l60e transmission just went out and I have one from an 06 model. I know it will bolt right up but is it still compatable electrically.

Im pretty sure they will work bc they are both LQx engines i believe. If all else fails you can take the bellhousing off the 02 one and put it on the 06 one

not all trucks came with LQ motors...

Mine has an LM7. The trans should bolt up and work the same... just reuse your neutral safety switch on the newer trans, the new NSS's have one big plug vs the older ones with two.

If they are both LSX then yes ,ti will swap and be compatable

I just called my local salvage yard and they acted like that in order to buy a replacement that it would have to come out of an 02 only. Are there any reason for this or not.
