Default how dangerous?

lets say that i was stupid and decided to run a 200 shot kit on my stock trans am and i was doing about 130-140 and my trans blew, what exactly happens when that occours?

It would depend on the failure . The trans could just neutralize or ,worst case it could lock up and that could get ugly !!!!!

what's more likely to occour if the failure is caused when nitrous is kept going while shifting?

...transmission can break at anytime. so dont go on someone saying their high dollar transmission is bullet proof and will handle 1000hp.

I broke a beefy th350 before and it broke the case & tailshaft. That dropped the front of the driveshaft into the road. The spinning driveshaft beat the hell out of the floor & crushed the exhaust. This was only at about 40mph. 100+ could result in car turn over. Driveshaft loop is a must.

But i would say that if you did a 200 shot off the line, first thing that would break would be a u-joint or twist/break the driveshaft (if its aluminum) and anything else would prolly break right at the line aswell.
