Default Mechanical or Eletrical Tranny Gauge

I have a converter on the way and this is the last thing I need to get. Is one better than the other? If so why?

Well I wont say ones better than the other , The mechanical guage tends to be more reliable . But then the electrical is a much simpler installation. Either should serve your need though

This is what I use. Works great and very easy to install. I run my sending unit in the cooler feed line. I want to know the hottest temps my tranny sees.

If eletrical is easier to install then Im going with that. It sure would be nice if I can do the gauge and cooler myself, one less thing to pay someone to do. Any writes up on how to do that gauge? Or tranny cooler for that matter?

I also went with an electric gauge. Mounted it in the cooler feed line. My driver's side a/c vent was broken when I bought the car, so I just wired it up and mounted it there.
