Default T-56 ---> "Built" 4L60E conversion?

I currently have a stock T-56. It works great and it never had a single problem, ever. But I'm getting tired of shifting all the time. I want to just mash the gas and not have to worry about manually shifting. I want an automatic with overdrive (this is a street car). I also want the "factory" automatic shifter if this is possible.
I was thinking of the Speed Inc Extreme Stage III 4L60E. Is it worth the money (over $2K) to get this? Will it hold to the tune of 600RWHP? Is it reliable? Or should I just keep what I have and forget all about it. The car only sees the track about 5 times a year, but its on the "street" every weekend that its not in the shop.

Actually, I now see the Michael Ozorowsky post earlier. I'll read that one.
