Default 4L60E issue.

Hey guys,

so recently ive been noticing some weirdness with my car. i have an 02 z28 A4. I noticed first off that the first few shifts of the day and even after the car has warmed up, sometimes when upshifting from 1st to 2nd i get a harsh kick. it doesnt always happen, but its enough so that you feel it. I also noticed, getting on the highway, if i sit an cruise at about 40mph and then stand on it the car doesnt want to downshift to 2nd all the time, sometimes it will somtimes it wont, its a 50-50 thing. Ive talked to a few f-body guys who have told me it sounds like its the TCC Lock up Solenoid...but doing some research myself, the most common symptoms of it going are coming to a stop and having the car stall out. which isnt happening for me at all. so before i got having parts replaced id like to know what u guys think. What would cause my car to do this?

Take a look at your TPS and MAF sensors first. Both of which will cause intermittent problems. Just a thought. Vince
