Torque converter hard to turn on input shaft when fully on..

Torque converter hard to turn on input shaft when fully on.. The same thing happens for both the stock and YPT4400..
I put them on 3 clicks and its hard to turn the converter, It does spin but not freely.. On 2 clicks it spins freely.
Others said theirs spun freely with no problems. I took the trans out in park but then did move that gear selecter around a bit when unhooking the linkeage..
Should I be worried?

Re: Torque converter hard to turn on input shaft when fully on.. I've got my 4L60E scatered right now waiting on parts. The last thing the converter engages into is the pump dogs. They can be damaged fairly easy. When the converter is all they way in it will practicly SPIN freely. I'de pull the verter back off and take a look at those pump dogs. Try to turn the pump with something to enshure its ok.

I recall the end shaft with splines, then the middle part with splines, then 2 grooves at the very end.
How can they be damaged? Like, what causes damage to them?
