Precision converter pumps
What's the difference between a #6 pump and a #7 pump when ordering a Precision Vig converter? Talking 3200 and 3600 stall models. What is the preferred pump out there? And if you just order a 3200 Vig or a 3600 Vig, what pump do they come with if you DON'T specify which pump you want? Thanks. Someone in the know, please. WJ.
vig3600 is a #7 and 3200 is a #6
thats the way they will come if you dont ask

When I purchased my FLP IV trans, I called VIG direct and spoke to a tech about this same question. Their answer was that the VIG3600 comes with a #6 pump, they can (upon request) put the #7 pump in. When I had all my specs all stright, I then called FLP and told Chuck to sell me a #7 PUMP vig3600. I belive the #7 pump stalls a little higher (4000 I think) Those were the fact that were given to me. Please don't think that im trying to argue with you. I'm using the vig 3200 # 7 pump. Way too much STR in my opinion. The #7 has a 2.5STR whereas the #6 is less. I'm having major traction issues although I;m still using stock tires
I've lost a few races to stock LS1s because I was just spinning and not moving anywhere

Thanks, Fierce-LS1. Guess I should be glad I went w/#6 pump on my order....I have 8.5" ET Drags, though, so traction shouldn't be a issue for me. Best wishes. WJ.
