when im at slow roll 20mph and i punch it just goes up to almost redline then shifts its not spinning the tires but at 30mph+ it shifts down when i punch it could be converter or clutchs? i had tranny serviced new filter and fluid couple months ago

 

I am not sure what your asking at 30+ mph if you nail it , it should shift down ?

 

no at 20 mph it won't shift down untill it gets up to redline but at 30mph it shifts down when nail it

car has 116k miles don't think tranny ever been rebuilt or replaced

 

Its will only shift down when the PCM comands it, it may not be going fast enough at 20 mph to allow a downshift.

 

Thats what I am saying it can only do what the PCM allows it to do , Do you mean it shift to 2nd at WOT at 20 mph ?

 

Nah when just cruising it shifts into 2nd by 20mph then when try to WOT at 20mph it just won't shift back into 1st

Theres nothing wrong that just the way the PCM is programed to do , If you want different shifting characteristics you would need to alter them in the tuning. Remember a 4L60E does not shift on its own it only does what the PCM tells it to do.
