Shifting Issue

Shifting Issue when im at slow roll 20mph and i punch it just goes up to almost redline then shifts its not spinning the tires but at 30mph+ it shifts down when i punch it could be converter or clutchs? i had tranny serviced new filter and fluid couple months ago
I am not sure what your asking at 30+ mph if you nail it , it should shift down ?

Its will only shift down when the PCM comands it, it may not be going fast enough at 20 mph to allow a downshift.

Thats what I am saying it can only do what the PCM allows it to do , Do you mean it shift to 2nd at WOT at 20 mph ?

Theres nothing wrong that just the way the PCM is programed to do , If you want different shifting characteristics you would need to alter them in the tuning. Remember a 4L60E does not shift on its own it only does what the PCM tells it to do.
