Default Someone help...TH400

I am installing a TH400 behind a 2000 LS1. This is going into a street rod.

Can someone tell me what is involved in connecting the TH400 to the LS1. Any special part and / or part numbers would be great.

Thanks

As far as adapting the TH400 to the LS1, I believe Yank makes an adapter plate. You can goto their website to check it out.

I thought the tranny bolted up without modifications. From what I have been told the flexplate can be different and a bushing was required between the converter and the crank.

Any truth to this?

Thanks

The TH400 will bolt right up using all but one of the bolts from the stock tranny. You should have no problems with it. As far as converter you just need to make sure the spacing is correct. I needed about a 1/4 inch crank pilot extension on mine to get it to go a little bit into the crank.
