made a mistake? I bought a trans from another member here. i'm no auto trans expert and i've never taken down a 4l60e so i trusted that what i bought was a 4l60e. i take it to have it installed today and the installer laughed and said that it's not a 4l60e.
i felt dumb b/c it didnt even say 4l60 on the trans anywhere.

Actually M30 on the side it is a 4l60e . But its a 93 4l60e from looking at the case. What are your trying to out it in , Its not a camaro trans likley a 2wd truck looking at the case style. There are several versions of the 4l60e
If its for the 99 vert you mention in the sig totally the wrong style. Did you tell him what you needed it for?

Well that trans is out of a 1993 2wd pickup truck and it will not work in your 99 ls1 car.
