Default A4 help:lost my D and OD?

I blew the 10 bolt 2 weeks ago and bought a 10 bolt already assembled with 4.10 gears. My PCM is tuned by ed wright for 3.73s and i figured i would have some problems with the tuning but Ed told me that i would only have a higher MPH reading since he set my shift points and lock up. Well after the new 10 bolt went in we tried to take if for a spin but i could not get the car to ingage in OD or D. I have to manualy put the car into 1st or 2nd and manualy shift into D for 3rd and then shift into OD for 4th. A local tranny builder said it sounded like the sprag went out because of OD and D feeling like nuetral but i don't understand how i could have lost my 10 bolt and sprag at the same time??? Is it something simple? Everything is hooked up correctly. Thanks for any help.

Sounds to me like the rear took the trans with it. So your saying it goes into 3-4 but theres nothing there? If so the bands are wasted and ya need a rebuild.

No it will shift into 3rd and 4th gear and also lock up but i have to manualy shift the car. If i just leave it in drive or overdrive the car feels like it is in nuetral. I wondered if it were a sensor or selenoid because the tranny fluid looks very good with no signs of scorching but i am not showing any SES lights to indicate a sensor or selenoid. Any thoughts?

It's definitely a bad sprag. The same thing happened to me once. I broke a U-joint at the track. I replaced it that same night, still at the track...that's when I noticed no 3rd or 4th gears. I pulled the trans and found that the sprag had broken.
