What converter?
You have the wrong outlook on it. Its not just a converter. The converter is everything to an automatic car. You can have the baddest heads, baddest cam, the baddest everything and its doesnt matter one bit if your budget converter is taking all that power and throwing it out the window with excessive slippage
$800's enough for a good converter and sticky tires with money left over. You'll have enough for a tune, or LT's, or gears. Any one of those coupled with the converter and tires will give you big gains. I'd guess you'd run bottom 12's.
My vote honestly goes to either. I own a 4000 Fuddle and have for a couple years now, coupled with an MS3 cam and a tire i've ran consistent 11.7-8's. Not even a full bolt on car, stock suspension and stock trans. Yes people have had problems with them, im not one of them though, I have been nothin but pleased with mine and the results its given me. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and i've seen converters of all brands **** out on people locally, NOT just on 'ls1tech'. My advice is go with the Vig for sure if its got the free restall, i've also done business with them and couldn't tell you to not buy their product. Either way, its your opinion for the two options you gave, flip a coin.
I have decided to go with a yank!! I have heard the best reviewes about them and think I can deal with it
Do you guy's think a Yank SS3600 will be a good converter for me?
I want it to still be a good DD and I am afraid my definition of DD is a bit different that some of your "race cars"
Oh and how is the SS3600 on gas mileage?

. Seriously, the SS3600 is a great DD converter. It's tight for city driving and will hit very hard off the line. Get some sticky tires or you'll never experience 1st gear again! "All Motor 9 Second club member"

Yes a good TC is the best bang for the buck. If you choose the right converter, you can have excellent performance and very good streetability.
As stated before, the quickest cars are running the higher end quality converters like Circle and Yank. That's not just a coincidence

Nice MPG, That is close to what I get now getting about 18-19 city and 24-25 hwy
MY car weighs 3390 with out me in it and 3540 with me /raceweight
I have finally figured out what I am going to do after a entire winter of thinking about it,
-LS6 intake
-SS3600 Stall
-nitto555R Drag radials
-Waitforme mail order tune
I know it’s a small mod list and all but I am just looking for a car well into the 12's and my best time is a 13.16 at 106 so I am not far off with out the mods. Thanks for all the input guy's. Oh and I am not trying to offend any one with the "race car's" thing. I was just trying to explain DD means different things to different people. Well the “big” order is going in to night. Any place I can get the Yank converter for less than 675 or is that what I am going to pay?

You didn't offend anyone....it's all a matter of personal perference. I like converter's big, but a lot of people would hate my car as a daily driver. I think you'll go mid 12's or better with that combination. Looks like a good package. Enjoy and post up when you get it together!

^^^Good point....my Nitto's didn't hook all that well with my SS4000. I was able to cut 1.75 short times, but that was it. I now run MT ET Street radials and cut a best of 1.63 so far. I just run regular street tires for daily driving.

and it was only my 3rd pass with my stall. I know the list just gets longer... but a transgo shift kit set with 1 washer makes daily driving shifts a lot less sloppy and nice and tight shifts at WOT.
I am getting the BMW 28,000 cooler, for got to add that
Oh and I am set on the nitro's, I don’t want to pull them off and I want something better than street tires on street for street use. Also need them to be ok in the rain and not pick up to many rocks. Also want them to last 10,000 miles so nitros fit the bill well!
