Default shift kit 4l60e

you guys think that a shift kit would go right with nos some guy told me it wasnt safe for my motor my car shifts good all ready for a automatic chirps 2nd gear but i want to go faster lol

From what I hear, a shift kit reduces the wear on your apply band by making the apply more efficient. It also makes it alot more fun to drive hehe. Can't see it damaging anything unless you set it up too agressively.
