Remove TM?
Remove TM? I've never read a clear answer on whether removing TM will help or hurt the life the tranny. Can someone with experience help me out here? I have a shift kit, 24,000 cooler, and Vig 3200.

Re: Remove TM? Get rid of it is my vote. My trans shifts so much nicer with it turned off. As far as helping or hurting the life of the trans, I really can't say much. All I can say is that mine has been OK so far even though it's only been turned off for a few thousand miles now.

I'd have to say the TM would be better left alone with a stock transmission. If you trans is built, I'd say it will better handle the hard shifts. I'll be leaving mine off, but I've got a trans coming with more and larger clutches and some other goofy stuff like that.

Re: Remove TM? TM is only effective if you make more than 350lbft. of tq at the time of the shift. I had mine bumped up with my stock trans. It is gong to wear out eventually, so why not get the most out the trans while it is good. I would remove it.
