New problem with converter?

New problem with converter? I have been having trouble with the shifting. 1-2 is good, but when it comes time for 2-3 the car just revs up instead of shifting. When i floor it everything is fine. I thought it might be b/c i removed the screen to the maf, but then I unhooked the maf altogether and this problem did not go away. Anyone have any ideas? Could the maf cause all of this or does it sound like my converter is bad?

example: normally taking off from a light or stop sign getting up to 30-40mph it shifts fine and then all the sudden it revs up to 2000 rpms and just stays there for a while? Does it even drop back down to like 1500 at all?
If this is what you are referring to my car does the same thing if I have it in OD taking off normally. When I had the 3600 it would rev up to about 2000 but only for a second and then drop back down to 1500 or so. Now with a different converter it does the same thing but when it revs up to 2000 I have counted up to 18 seconds before it drops back down to 1500 around 30mph. I plan to ask the person who did my converter about that hopefully tomorrow when I talk to them. When I had the 3600 I thought that was when it was locking/unlocking, but now I'm not so sure what it is. Never had the problem with my Vig3200 though. If I find out anything I will post back.

Re: New problem with converter? It seems to do the same things when I am in D or OD. The thing that baffles me is when I floor it the car is fine. But for the most part I drive in OD.
The converter has been in my less than 2000 miles.
I can't even get my car up to 50mph driving normally.
